(John) Peter's farm was laid out 5 May 1747 and patented 14 Dec 1771 in Penn's Manor of Andulhea, east of the Altalaha Lutheran Church (founded in 1757) and beyond the present limits of Rehrersburg in Tulpehocken Twp., Berks Co., PA, a short distance south of the Little Swatara Creek. He served in the War for Independence as a Private in the PA Militia m (Capt. Folmer's company, 6th Battalion, 7th Co., 1777-1779) - see SAR #139030 (PA #10052) and PA Archives, Series 3, Vol. 18, p. 805 and Series 3, Vol. 6, p. 294. Orphans Court 9 Nov 1784 for minor children of Gertraut Stupp (daughter of Martin Stupp), widow of Johann Christian Pfaffenberger.
Perhaps he is the Peter Ritzman of Tulpehocken who was naturalized 17 Sept 1765.
