To almost everyone, Ann Jones has been known as Grandmoms for the past 38 years. Grandmoms has been a long-time resident of Norwood since 1960. She was born in Lincoln Maine and was the youngest of three children of Clyde and Mary Harding. She is survived by brother Harold Harding and sister Eunice Sibley who still live there today. Ann moved to Boston in 1954 and married the love of her life, the late Billy Ray Jones. She earned her nursing diploma from Eastern Maine Medical Center and worked at Newton-Wellesley Hospital as well as several local extended-care facilities. Grandmoms had two children, Shirley-Ann (Jones) Weir and her husband Daniel of Norwood and Bruce Alan Jones and his wife Pauline of Elk Grove, California. Additionally, she is survived by grandson Brent Daniel Weir, his wife Danielle and their child great-grandson Keegan Daniel, grandson Bradley Martin Weir, and granddaughter Ashley Ann Ransow, her husband Daniel and their children great-grandson Cameron Ray and great-granddaughter Ella Ann. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and 'out-laws' that touched her heart and enriched her life.In her final years, Grandmoms was a resident of Walpole Health Care (formerly Harrington House) in Walpole and served as President of the Resident Council.
