[4436] His obituary: "Kent Bailey, DDS, 61, of North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009. Cremation, with ashes to be scattered at a later date. A celebration of Kent's life and humor will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th, at Cascone's Italian Restaurant, 3737 North Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Missouri. Kent graduated from Webb City High School, Missouri Southern State College and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He maintained a dental office in Gladstone from the 1970s to the 1990s and practiced in Kansas City, Missouri the past several years. He was a member of the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, Missouri Dental Association and American Dental Association. Kent was an avid fan of Formula 1-IRL racing, loved the muscle cars of the 60s and maintained an extensive library of movies from the 30s, 40s and 50s and music from the 60s and 70s. His greatest loves were his two cats, Mandi and Monty. Kent was preceded in death by his parents Don R. and Alta Bailey. He is survived by his sister Kristen Bailey of Prairie Village, Kansas; ex-wife and friend Dana Eckert of Ellicott City, Maryland; and special friend Sherry Turner of Westwood Hills, Kansas."

Il n'avait pas plus de cinq ans à la mort de son père, lequel venait lui-même de succéder à sa propre mère, Adélaïde de Provence. La situation du comté de Forcalquier était alors très délicate : le comté de Provence, qui était auparavant possession indivise entre les comtes Alphonse Jourdain de Toulouse, Raimond-Bérenger III de Barcelone et Adélaïde avait été partagée en 1125 entre les deux premiers au mépris des droits d'Adélaïde. Cette dernière avait profité de l'absence du comte de Toulouse pour se ménager une portion de territoire autour d'Avignon et de Forcalquier, mais sa mort suivi de celle de son fils ammenait un enfant à la tête du comté de Forcalquier. L'existence même de ce comté risquait d'être remis en cause. Mais il fut soutenu par son grand-père maternel Guigues III d'Albon, puis par son oncle Guigues IV et réussi à faire reconnaitre et accepter l'existence du comté de Forcalquier par le comte de Toulouse, également marquis de Provence. D'une épouse dont l'histoire n'a pas conservé le nom, il eut un fils, Guillaume, mort avant lui, et ce fut son frère Bertrand qui lui succéda."

A solemn Mass of Requiem was celebrated in the Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah, at 9 o'clock. Celebrant of the Mass was Rev. Joseph Gilooley, pastor of the Church of Epiphany of Philadelphia; Rev. William Shields of the Annunciation parish was deacon; Rev. Andre Meluskey of St. Edward's Church, Shamokin, was sub-deacon. Present in the sanctuary were bishop Bernard Patrick Wall, Bishop of Brentwood, England; His Eminence the Most Rev. Msgr. Francis Brennan, D.D.J.U.D., Dean of the Sacred Rota, Rome, Italy; Msgr. Cornelius V. O'Brien, pastor of the Annunciation parish, Shenandoah. The blessing in church following the Mass was conducted by Father Gilooley, assisted by Father Shields and Father Meluskey. The three priests also officiated at the committal services. Present in the church during the Mass were the children of the fifth and sixth grades of the Annunciation BVM School, as well as nuns of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Order who comprise the teaching staff at the local school. Rosary recitation was conducted by Father Shields last evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers were John and Jerry Levans, Thomas Cantlin, Albert Matunis, Mayor of Shenandoah, Bernard O'Neil, Walter Weston, Robert Thomas, and John Brennan."
