[51986] "The Ellswoth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 1 May 2018": "Penobscot - David D. Judkins, beloved husband of Sally (Dorr) Judkins, went to be with his Lord and savior May 11. He was the son of Delmont L. Judkins and Dorothy Leach Judkins, born July 30, 1948, in Blue Hill. Dave was a wonderful, sweet man who dearly loved his family. His son Davey was his pride and joy and they were the best of friends. He was a loving thoughtful husband, and enjoyed giving flowers often. Dave was an awesome grandpa and a good friend. He worked many years at the Bucksport paper mill. He was a good provider and hard worker who loved to work in the woods cutting wood with his son. However, the job he enjoyed the most and often talked about was trucking with Kendall Hodgdon and later working with son Davey in his excavation company. The last few years, his health did not allow him much freedom to work. He is survived by his wife, Sally, of 44 years, his son Davey Judkins (Molly), stepdaughter Samantha Floyd (Sam), grandchildren Deena Segel (Andrew), Holly Wardwell (Chad), Lillian, Chloie and Johnny Judkins. Michael Mclain and family, Lane Randall (Nicole) and David Randall of Missouri. Sister Bonnie Miller. Sister-in-law Cheryl Crawford (Benny). Many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his daughter Deena Lee and his parents."

[47626] "Bangor Daily News, 20 August 2020": "Orland - On August 17, 2020, Gladys Leach of Orland, Maine, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born June 1, 1934, in Bangor, Maine, the daughter of Stanley and Diana (Gilman) Lanpher. She was raised on Verona Island, Maine, and attended Bucksport High School, where she met Norris Leach, the love of her life. They both knew it was true love the moment their eyes met. The love affair lasted for more than 69 1/2 years. They genuinely enjoyed every moment together and shared their love and friendship with everyone they met. As a young girl, Gladys dreamed of becoming a beautician. She went on to fulfill that dream in the late 1960s attending D'Lor Beauty School and then becoming the owner/proprietor of Cameo Coiffures hair salon, a highly successful enterprise she ran for over 27 years. She loved and adored her family and friends. Her gift of making and acquiring friends was evident to everyone she met. Those new-found friendships made during her travels spanned from Maine to Florida and beyond. They also resided in Silver Springs, Florida, for 14 years. She never met anyone she wouldn't invite home so she could prepare them a delicious down-home country meal. Once she shared her culinary delights with strangers, they were hooked and would become part of her cherished group of life-long friends. Gladys lived her life for the Lord and God's light shined brightly through her for others to see. She will be deeply missed by her immediate family as well as all those extended family members acquired along the road of life. She was predeceased by her father, Stanley Lanpher, when she was just eight years old; her mother, Diana and stepfather, Bernard Bridges; her brother, Warren Lanpher; daughter-in-law, Madeleine (Gay) Leach; several brother and sisters-in-law, Wallace Leach and wife, Eva, Melvin Adams, Harry Leach and wife, Marlene. She is survived by her cherished husband, Norris Leach; her children: son, Stanley Leach and wife, Diane, son, Timothy Leach and his wife, Rhonda, daughter, Wendy Leach and her partner, Phil; her grandchildren, Anna Macomber and husband, Matt, Bret Leach, Christopher Leach and wife, Hannah (and soon-to-be baby, Oskar), Josh Leach and wife, Emily, Kaylee Annette Richards and husband, Paul (P.J.), Andrew Findlay and girlfriend, Lexi; her great-grandchildren, Hannah and Isla Findlay, Jordyn and Jaxon Richards; her sister, Della Clements and husband, Paul; brother, Bernard Bridges Jr. and wife, Shirley; sister-in-law, Doris Adams; many very special nieces and nephews, that were all a big part of her life. She was a member of the Bucksport Methodist Church, The Red Hat Society, the Brewer Eagles Club #3177 Auxiliary, and formerly the National hairdresser's Association."
