Closson, 64, died peacefully on Jan. 18, 2024, at an Ellsworth hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 10, 1959, in Blue Hill, the daughter of June E. and Raymond C. Eaton of Brooklin. Wendy attended Brooklin Schools and was a graduate of George Stevens Academy, class of 1977. Following graduation, she worked for many years cleaning residences and summer cottages in the Brooklin area. Wendy enjoyed taking walks on the beach in search of special sea glass and numerous treasures, which she extensively collected. She especially enjoyed spending time in nature through walks, scenic rides with her daughter and grandson, and working in her gardens. She was an avid reader and was best known for her caring and kind nature. She will be greatly missed by all who were privileged to know her. Wendy is survived by her husband, Barry Clinton Closson; her daughter, Amanda B. Astbury and her husband, Ben Astbury of Sedgwick; and a grandson, Jackson Astbury of Sedgwick. Her beloved grandson, Jackson, was her world. She is also survived by her siblings; brother Jonathan Eaton and wife Sheila Eaton of Brooklin; sister Susan Billings of Brooklin; Brother Daniel and wife Nancy of Deer Isle; Brother Randall Eaton and wife Elizabeth of Brooklin, along with many nieces and two nephews. Wendy was predeceased by her parents: June C. and Raymond C. Eaton of Brooklin."

Dr. Ritzman is a graduate of MedIco - Chi, of Philadelphia, class of '98. where he took highest honors, and won the class prize of $365. He was resident physician at the Harrisburg Hospital last year and since that time has been practising at 914 North Sixth street."
