The deceased was born at Gratz, Dauphin county, 59 years ago, having been a son of George and Magdrline (Schoffstall) Tschopp. He came to Shamokin when a boy and had resided here for a period of 38 years, following the occupation of a mining man in early life and later conducted a hotel in Coal township. Eight years ago he removed to Lewistown. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Paul Haine of Hershey and Mrs. John Lubnow of this city, and one brother, George of Gratz.
