She was born in the British Isles, the daughter of Stuart and Catherine (Geddis) Brown. Mrs. Wescott married the Rev. John Carson in 1917. He died in 1920. She then married Ward W. Wescott in 1931. He died in 1932. In her younger days, she studied for the nursing profession becoming a practical nurse working in the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. Later, she did private nursing in the homes. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of North Brooksville. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H. Tavers (Katheryn) Carson Smith of Otisfield, Miss Anna Mae Wescott of Ellsworth; one grandson, Edson T. Smithone greatgrandson, Carson T. Smith, both Stratham, N.H., one sister; two brothers."
