She was the widow of John Tomaskevitch, who died in 1988. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late John and Helen Pijar Spolsky she was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Olyphant, and a member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church in Olyphant. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who truly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was active in her community and served on the com-mittee of the Lackawanna County Republican Party She is survived by twin sons, Jerry and wife, Marie, Peckville; and Gary Dickson City; three grandchildren, Andrew Tomaskevitch, State College; and Max and Mercedes Phillips, Scranton; a sister, Ann Mozeleski, Dickson City; a son-in-law, Mark Phillips, Scranton; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, John 'Jackie' Tomaskevitch; a daughter, Mary "Mimi" Phillips; a daughter-in-law, Diane Tomaskevitch; and longtime companion, Joseph Chmil. The funeral will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 10 in SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, River Street, Olyphant, to be celebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor. Interment will follow in St. Cyril's Cemetery Peckville."
