[43745] "Brackett Genealogy: Descendants of Anthony Brackett of Portsmouth and Captain Richard Brackett ...", Herbert I. Brackett (Washington, D.C.; 1907 offers: "Daniel Brackett was a son of Joshua Brackett who married Abigail Kendrick, of Halifax. In the records supplied the writer by the descendants of the other sons of Joshua, there is no mention of this Daniel Brackett as a son of Joshua; however, Mr. Lorenzo D. Brackett, of Lawrence, Mass., son of Joseph Brackett, son of James (who married Betsey Pabyan, and brother of Joshua who married Abigail Kendrick) wrote that his aunt Kezia married her cousin Daniel Brackett, the son of Joshua, and that said Joshua had sons Alfred, Daniel, Jerry, Lewis and John. It is not thought that Mr. Lorenzo D. Brackett is in error in this matter. Daniel Brackett was born in Gorham; married August 5, 1812, his cousin, Kezia Brackett, born September i, 1783, died about 1829, daughter of his father's brother James and wife, Mehitable Pabyan (see fam. 4, this div.); was a farmer; settled in Naples; died about 1824, soon after the birth of his son Rufus."

[4042] Judicael was much beloved as king in Brittany, but abdicated and spent his last 20 years in the Monastery of St. Meven at Gaël, near Vannes. [His wife was Morone.] http://www.britannia.com/bios/ebk/judicdb.html offers: "Prince Judicael survived the persecutions of the reign of his brother, Prince Haeloc of Domnonée, and was brought out of hiding in a monastery on the latters death. He set up his palace in the Forest of Paimpont. It is recorded that: 'Terror of his name alone was sufficient to keep evil men from violence, for God, who watched over him without ceasing, had made him brave amd mighty in battle; it happened more than once that with the aid of the Almighty he was able to put whole troops of the enemy to flight by the strength of his sword-arm alone' He defeated the Franks twice in battle and, despite the Breton Prince's reputation, in AD 635 King Dagobert of the Franks, sent St. Eligius to demand his submission if he wanted to avoid full scale invasion. Judicael was a practical man, and quickly travelled to Dagobert's Court ion Paris to recognise him as his overlord. Thus a lasting peace was concluded between the two. He was a pious King who founded the Abbey of Paimpont and helped endow the monastery of St. Meven at Gaël to where, upon his abdication, he retired. The principality was left in the hands of his brother, Judoc." Cf. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jamesdow/s028/f949281.htm.

Their marriage took place September 23rd, 1842. The children by this union were Lyman, Elizabeth, William Henry, Francis H., Lucina and Alonzo McK. Mr. Malcolmowns 84 acres of valuable land in the Village of Scotland. They are members of the Congregational Church, and were brought up to farm life. They settled on the farm in 1825, and have continued there ever since." Cf. "Oakland Township: Two Hundred Years - Volume 2," Stuart A.
