Surviving are the wife Naomi; 1 son, John A. Shoemaker of Bladensburg. Maryland; 1 daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Beecher of Ypsilanti, 7 grandchildren; 2 greatgrandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Robert Milley of Paradise, Pennsylvania.
