He was born June 15, 1928, in Olive Hill, Ky., and lived in Mansfield for the last 52 years. Mr. Cline worked for Armco Steel from 1955 to 1993. He was a member of Berea Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Shirley Cline; three sons, John H. Cline, Mark E. Cline and Lester W. Dixon, all of Mansfield; four daughters, Betty Wynn of Bellville, and Sharon Bowling, Patricia Lambert and Dianna Hamilton, all of Mansfield; his mother, Myrtle Bond Cline of Mansfield; two sisters, Elizabeth Wallace and Janet Valerio, both of Mansfield; three brothers, Cledious Cline, Charles Cline and Raymond Cline, all of Olive Hill; 25 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hansford Cline, and his daughter, Mary L. Mosbey. . . . . Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery." John is son of Charles H. Cline and Myrtle G. Bond.

Son of Sir Ralph Lumley and Eleanor de Neville, daughter of Sir John de Neville and Maud de Percy, daughter of Sir Henry and descendant of King John of England. Grandson of Sir Marmaduke de Lumley and his second wife Margaret de Holand, and heir to his older brother, Thomas. Husband of Felice Redmayne, daughter of Sir Matthew Redmayne of Newcastle, widow of John Woodcock, mercer of London. They married before Feb 1410 and had one son and three daughters; Sir Thomas, Eleanor, Anne and Maud, wife of Sir William
Thirkeld. John applied to Parliament in Nov 1411 and obtained a declaration under the Great Seal that restored his name and capacity to hold the possessions of his late father and brother, despite the disagreements they had held. In 1419, he was granted one fourth interest in the manor of Seton Kerrowe, Durham by his uncle, Ralph Neville, Earl of Westmorland. John was slain at the Battle of Beauge in Anjou, and was buried in the Cathedral yard at Durham, but later removed to Chester-le-Street in 1594, along with the remains of his father."
