In 1983 Warren retired from Jackson Laboratory after 33 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 69, Southwest Harbor. Warren was predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Elise Fernald and Vivian Conners; his daughter, Barbara Workman; and his granddaughter, Lisa Harper. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Velma (Leighton) Workman of Southwest Harbor; his daughter, Brenda Seavey and her husband, Keith, of Southwest Harbor; granddaughter, Michelle Campbell and husband, Chad, of Tremont; grandson, Kris Harper and life partner, Marie Blanchard, of Seal Cove; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Matthew, Kilee and Evan. Warren also leaves behind many extended relatives and special friends."
