In this year Cuthwulf [Cutha] fought against the Britons at Biedcanford, and captured four towns, Limbury, Aylesbury, Bengsington, and Eynsham; and in the same year he died." But another MS of the Chronicle has him living in 584. "The Earliest English Kings," D. P. Kirby (London, England: Routledge, 1992), figure 3, suggests that Cutha and Cuthwine may be the same person.
