Born December 10, 1924 in Shelby to Charles W. and Edna (Kuhn) Keck she had been a Shelby resident the majority of her life. A 1942 graduate of Shelby High School, she was employed with the Shelby Mutual Insurance Co., Keil's Department Store, and Cashman's Insurance. Dorothy was an active member of the First United Church of Christ where she served as financial secretary for 30 years, taught Sunday school for over 30 years, and was a member of the Women's Guild. She enjoyed crochet and embroidery work and sewing. Survivors include her son, David (Judy) Hoover of North Canton, Ohio; two grandchildren, Mackenzie (Brad) Spalding and Brianna Abbott; two great grandchildren, Carlyn and Colton Spalding; her sisters-in-law, Jane Keck of Shelby and Delores Geiger of Bucyrus; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Hoover in 2000 and one brother, Donald Keck in 1986."

(Stinson) Torrey, 76, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2022, at her home in Franklin, Maine. She was born on July 6, 1946, to Walter and Hilda (Lawry) Stinson. She had many jobs during her lifetime, but the one that she was most proud of was being an EMT for the Swans Island Ambulance service. She was instrumental in getting the service going and devoted many years to it. She is survived by the love of her life, David Howes; her daughters, Lorraine Stockbridge, Patricia Moody and husband, Curtis, and Melanie Faulkingham; her grandchildren, Dale Stockbridge Jr. and wife, Crystal, Daniel Stockbridge and wife, Starr, Jasmine Moody and Daniel Faulkingham; great-grandchildren, Spencer and Laura Rose, Austin, Benjamin and Spruce Stockbridge; her sister, Dorothy Barnes; and her nephew, Isaac Stinson and family. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur Stinson; and sister, Pauline Stinson; and many other special loved ones. She is now with her best friend and partner in crime, Elaine Overlock."
