Born in Sycamore, he was a self-employed oil and gas producer. He was a member of the Christian Church in Ashland. He is survived by his wile, Faye; two sons, Roger R. of Texarkana, Texas, and Norman of Ashland; six grandchildren and a brother, Lloyd of Ashland. Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Ashland with the Rev. George Sheets officiating. Burial will be in the Hayesville Cemetery. "
