[50664] "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 16 May 2022": "Milbridge - Sarah Inez Tucker, 87, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 11, 2022, at Narraguagus Bay Healthcare Facility in Milbridge, Maine Sarah was born to Horace and Lucy (Harrington) Tucker of Cherryfield, Maine. She grew up in Cherryfield and attended the local elementary and high schools before furthering her education at the University of Maine at Machias, graduating in 1956. Upon graduation, she accepted a teaching position in the Kittery School Department. Following her time at Kittery, she felt God's calling to work with children through the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Maine. This work took her throughout Maine, introducing children to the gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved her work, the many friends she made, and serving her Lord. In the mid 1980s, she moved back to her hometown to care for both of her parents until their passing. This experience sparked an interest in healthcare, and she became a nursing assistant, working at the Maine Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth until her retirement. Sarah was a lifetime member of the Cherryfield First Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing, attending all services, and working with the Sunday School classes. Sarah was predeceased by her parents, Horace and Lucy Tucker; her brother, Everett; and her sister-in-law, Arletta. She is survived by her three nieces, Etta (Stephen) Walker of Thomaston, Lisa (John) Caruso of Hampden, and Trudy (Charles) Heanssler of Rockport; four great-nephews; one great-niece; two great-great-nephews; and two great-great-nieces; and many cousins."
