He was born on July 6, 1951, in Bar Harbor to Warren H. Higgins and Ruby A. Hodgdon. As a child he was adopted by Bessie Morris and William Junior 'June' Morris. Pard grew up on Frenchboro, which is where his love of the ocean began. He did it all: scalloping, lobstering and everything in between. He was a very hard working man who could do anything he put his mind to. This work ethic and mindset was instilled in his children. Pard was a caring, compassionate man who would help anyone in need. He always had a way of making anyone feel special and loved. Pard was a family man who loved his children and grandsons more than anything. Always there to lend a hand, he was the kind of father that gave his kids the confidence to do anything in the world. Pard was also involved in the local country music scene. When he was young he would stand on the corner and sing Elvis songs to all who would listen. He had a lifelong passion for music and donated much of his time to help those in need. Pard is survived by fiancée Kimberly Murphy of Bar Harbor, children Warren 'Pard' Higgins II and partner JennyJo Soucy, Luke Higgins and wife, Christie, Katie Higgins and partner Blake Parsons, siblings Sandi Lunt and Aaron Higgins. He was especially proud to be 'GrandPard' to his grandsons Warren and Mason."
