[24832] Perhaps Anna was b. in Germany. The Burkett's file on Ancestry.com in 2009 states she and Valentine m. 25 April 1757 in the Evangelical Church, Beiber, Germany, and that their first three children were born in Germany. Ancestry.com offers: "Baldauf Name Meaning - South German: from the Germanic personal name Baldolf (bold wolf), altered by folk etymology as if it were a combination of Middle High German bald soon + auf up (earlier uf), and hence taken as a nickname for a rash or intolerant person, quick to judge, or for an early riser."
