Mr. William Meadows, pastor of Hart Methodist church, was seriously injured in an automobile accident at Schaner corners, a mile south of Smith corners on US-31 at 7 p.m. Monday. According to Oceana county sheriffs officers who investigated, the accident occurred when the Brillhart light truck, which was coming on a cross road from the west onto US-31, and the Meadows automobile crashed. Both cars were demolished. The Rev. Mr. Meadows, who was knocked unconscious, was taken to Oceana hospital in Hart where it was said he was suffering from chest injuries. More X-rays were to be taken this morning to determine the extent of his injuries. He was enroute to Ludington where he .was to conduct a service at Bethany Methodist church. The body of Brillhart is at Tate funeral home in Hart. Funeral arrangements have not been made. He is survived by his widow a son, Raymond Brillhart, who is a Hart businessman, and five grandchildren."
