Savage Aug. 26, 2004; both her parents and a brother, Arnold Higgins. Rita is survived by three sons, James Bladen and fiance, Lori Levasseur, of Eddington, Brian Steele and wife, Carol, of Belfast, Brett Steele and wife, Melissa, of Belfast; a sister, Thelma Fordham and husband, Warren, of South Carolina; grandchildren, Andrew Bladen, Jennifer Sanborn, Amanda Perkins, Brian Steele II, Nicholas Tibbetts, Michael Steele and Brittany Steele; five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and special friends, Gerry Nilsen, Gilbert Bryant, Debbie Bryant and Ashley Bryant. Visiting hours are noon - 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Rackliffe Funeral Home. Burial 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta."
