The unverified Mabee Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2016 offers: "When James III Alexander Abercrombie was born in 1658 in Fife, his father, Alexander, was 55 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 12. He was married twice. He died on September 20, 1734, in Fife, having lived a long life of 76 years. . . . Mary Gordon was born in 1687. She married James III Alexander Abercrombie in 1705 in Fife. They had 10 children in 14 years. He was the oldest son of Sir Alexander Abercromby, 1st Baronet and his third wife Elizabeth Baird, daughter of Sir James Baird. Abercromby succeeded his father as baronet in 1684. He entered the Parliament of Scotland in 1693, sitting as a Member of Parliament (MP) for Banffshire until 1702.
In 1645, Abercromby married Mary Gordon, daughter of Arthur Gordon. They had fifteen children, ten sons and five daughters. Abercromby was succeeded in the baronetcy by his third and oldest surviving son Robert."

She is survived by one son, Ray Closson of Ellsworth two daughters Corris Sittnick of Connecticut and Marie Liberty of Ellsworth; one brother, A. Victor Higgins of Mount Desert; one sister, Ruth H. Sargent of Bar Harbor; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one son, Merle Closson of Ohio in 1974."
