[57808] Warren's obituary: "Warren "Jake' M. Orcutt Sr. 80, died October 24, 2024 at an Ellsworth hospital. He was born August 9, 1944 in Castine the son of the late Ralph and Lora (Gray) Orcutt. He was a graduate of Bucksport High School class of 1962, and received a Bachelor's degree from University of Maine Orono in June of 1966. He was employed for 29 years by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Farmer's Home Administration and retired in 1994 to begin a blueberry fresh pack business, which he operated until 2016. He was a founding member of the Steuben Volunteer Fire Department, as well as a founding member, and on the Board of the Sunrise County Wild Blueberry Association; a member of the Narraguagus Trail Riders, and the Narraguagus Snowmobile Club serving as it's treasurer for many years. His Masonic affiliations included being a 50 year member of Pleiades Lodge #173 A.F.&A.M in Milbridge.; Scottish Rite Valley of Portland; Became a Noble of Anah Shrine in Bangor in 1975 , serving as Greeter; member of Washington County Shrine Club, serving for many years as treasurer as well as secretary, and was a member of the Jesters Court #150 of Bangor. He enjoyed goose hunting with friends up in P.E.I. Canada and trout fishing with Don Higgins. He is survived by his beloved wife Velma L. (Cook) Orcutt ; 3 children - Charlene L. Sprague (partner Fritz Gensheimer) of Milbridge, Kathleen L. Jellison of North Orland, and Warren M. Orcutt Jr. (Alexandra) of Steuben; 9 grandchildren - Jillianne Caruthers (Jon ) ,Megan Shaw (Ryan), Brie Snyder (Jeff), Ian Jellison, Louden Jellison (Casey), Sabrina Peltier (Eric), Darian Gray (Tyson), Hayden Jellison, and Patrik Orcutt ; 17 great-grandchildren - Sloane, Addelyn and Collins Caruthers, Emma, Eden, and Ella Fraser, Porter, Presley, and Parker Shaw, Finn and Orin Snyder, Dane, Rowan, and Harlow Jellison, Monroe and Levy Peltier, and Jonah Gray ; 4 siblings - Amos E. Orcutt, Charlotte Snowman Harvey (Lionel), Mary Goode, William Orcutt (Sandra), many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Earl Orcutt in 2024."
