[44843] Find A Grave memorial 37529173 offers: "Zerubbabel was the son of John and Elizabeth (Gibson) Endecott. He is the last common anestor to all of the many Endicott/Endecott/Endecotte/Endicotte branches. His brother John died in 1667 leaving no children. He was a doctor in Salem Mass. Zerubbabel married Mary Smith in 1654 in Wenham Essex Co, Mass. Mary died in 1677. He married Elizabeth Winthrop about 1677. Elizabeth was the daughter of Gov. Winthrop and the widow of Rev. Antipas Newman. His farm, in what is now Danvers, was called "The Orchard" (the site is now a KMart parking lot). The buildings were dismantled and the lumber was used to construct a barn that is a museuem at the Rebecca Nurse homestead, property that was once owned by the Endecotts. The Endecott family once owned land adjacent to the Nurse homestead. There had been at least one confrontation at the boundary line. Zerubbabel was a doctor and his book of recipes for the medicines he used is still in existance (source www.brands-rawleighfamily.net). His will was dated Nov. 1683. Two of Zerubbabel's sons, Samuel and Zerubbabel, gave testimony in the Salem Witch Trials. His grandparents were Thomas (80524756) and Alice (80524846) Endecotte. - Bio by: Kathy Endicott Sneed"
