Mr. Eaton was born in Corinna Oct. 5, 1898, the son of the late Charles and Florence (Linnell) Eaton. He was educated in Charleston schools. He retired in 1959 from the New England Telephone Co. where he had been employed for more than 36 years as a line foreman. He also had been a cattle dealer in Bar Mills for many years and was very active in that area in real estate development. Mr. Eaton had been active in civic affairs in the Buxton area, having served on the Buxton school board and a member of the Buxton Historical Society. He was a member of Dunlop Lodge, AF - AM in Biddeford. He served as a deputy sheriff in York County. Mr. Eaton and his wife, the former Margaret Stover, were married in June of 1927. Surviving besides his widow are three sons, David C. of Bryn Mawr, Pa., Frank F. of Hampton, N.H., and James L. of Rockport; three daughters, Joan C, Youngof Birmington, England, Ruth L. Brann and Jane E. Cummings, both of Bar Mills; one brother, Charles C. Eaton of Gorham; one sister, Ruth C. Coulthard of Mechanic Falls; 24 grandchildren."

Mrs. Leach was born in Penobscot Jan. 3, 1866. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and of the O. E. S. Surviving are one son, Jasper Leach of Atlanta, Ga.; a daughter, Mrs. George Fennelly of Northeast Harbor; one sister, Mrs. Abby Douglas of Bucksport; two grandsons, Roy Salisbury of Northeast Harbor and Harold Salisbury of Bucksport; four great-grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Union church of Northeast Harbor, Rev. Merton B. McKendry of the Mount Desert Larger Parish officiating. The bearers were James Bunker, Arthur Coombs, Wilder Hamblen and John H. Manchester. Entombment was in a local cemetery and burial will be in Penobscot in the spring."
