She was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Tremont, the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Pomroy) Hamblen. Jennette was a lifetime member of Tremont Congregational Church, Ladies Auxiliary and she was known as the "May basket queen." She was a past member of Pythian Sisters. Jennette is survived by her son, John Varnum and wife, Grace, of Tremont; two brothers, Everett Hamblen and wife, Pat, and Richard Hamblen; one sister, Elizabeth Parsons and husband, Alan, all of Tremont; and one grandson, Mark Varnum and wife, Kristina, of Newport. She was predeceased by her husband, John R. Varnum Sr.; her daughter, Jane Varnum; and by four siblings, Leon and Edward Hamblen, Elva Rich and Lissie Melson."

Born January 28, 1927, Lincoln, son of Clyde and Mary (Beale) Harding. A graduate of Mattanawcook Academy, 1945, he began working for the US Postal Service before graduation and retired more than 40 years later having worked in Lincoln for 37 years, Bangor and Millinocket. Harold and Joyce celebrated their 71st Anniversary in June 2020. Harold was an active member of Lincoln's First Congregational Church, Congo Men's Club, and Annual Riverdrivers' Supper. He was a member of Horeb Lodge #92 AF&AM, Northern Penobscot Shrine Club, Scottish Rite Bodies, and Anah Temple Shrine. Civic-minded, he was a member of the Lincoln Jaycees, served as Chairman of the Lincoln Appeals Board and on the Cemetery Committee. Harold was an Amateur Radio Ham Operator, WAIYZY. He and Joyce enjoyed Square Dancing (Barney's Bunch) and he was in the Lincoln Community Band. Members of Holiday Rambler Recreational Vehicle Club, HoRaMe Chapter #33, and Tampa Bay Ramblers #353, the couple traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada. Harold maintained a garden and was a talented carpenter. As a family, they enjoyed snowmobiling and their lot on Combolassee Pond. Harold is survived by his wife of 71 years, children Dorothy Harding, Betty Keller (John Bennett), Holly McCafferty (Tim Buck) and Stephen Harding (Lisa), six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and others who considered him 'Papa'; brother-in-law Elliott Potter (Bonnie); nieces, nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters Eunice Sibley and Ann Jones; brothers-in-law Arnold H. Sibley and Billy R. Jones, his daughter's partner Cecile Pelletier, and a great-grandson."

From the early 1960s until his retirement, he worked on the assembly line at Mack Trucks Inc., Hagerstown, Md. A World War II veteran, he served with the US. Army. Surviving are two sons, Barry L. of Greencastle and Gregory L. of Waynesboro; two daughters, Linda (Mrs. Thomas W.) Geiman and Melissa A Leidig, both of Chambersburg; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Melvin J. Jr. of Fayetteville; and a sister, Elloise Sites of Chambersburg. Private service will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg, with a military graveside service conducted by the Honor Guard of Charles Nitterhouse Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1599, Chambersburg."
