When Elinor Powell was born in 1615 in England, her father, William, was 29, and her mother, Angis, was 25. . . . . She died in 1686 in Dover, New Hampshire, at the age of 71."

Born Sept 13, 1910, in Kosciusko County, she had lived in the area all her life. On Feb. 9, 1931, she married Willard Hepler, who survives. Other survivors are a son, James of California; a grandson; a sister, Mrs. Eva Howard of Columbus; and a brother, Ralph Gall of LaPorte."

Nathan Whiting's 2nd Regiment, Capt. Ichabod Scranton's 5th Company. Records from the Connecticut Campaign of 1760 show Jonas Powers Killed in Action on 28 September 1760. At that time the 2nd Regiment was stationed at The Fort at Number 4. This fort was the northernmost British settlement and was located along the Connecticut River in New Hampshire. There is no record of what became of his body and no burial site has been recorded."
