He was a life-long resident of Penobscot, attended Penobscot school,s was a junior volunteer during World War I, and retired in 1962 after 20 years of employment as a carpenter at St. Regis Paper Co, Bucksport. He was a member of the Penobscot United Methodist Church, past master and 58 year member of the Rising Star lodge No. 177 AF & AM, past president of the Masonic Hancock County Past Master's Association, past patron and 58 year member of the OES No. 107, Penobscot. He is survived by his wife, Verna (Hutchins) Leach; one son, Fulton L. Leach, both of Penobscot; two grandchildren, Linda Littlefield and Donald Leach, both of Castine; two great-grandchildren, Donald Leach, Jr. and William Joseph Leach, both of Penobscot. several cousins, nieces and nephews."
