Mr. Powell of 1195 Murray av. was born in Athens, O., and came to Akron 53 years ago. He retired from the Post Office branch on North Hill in 1958. He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, its 65 Plus Club and Mt. Akra Lodge 680, F&AM. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie E. McMunn, Stow; a son, William E., Akron ; three grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Rochel Edgar and Mrs. Mary Dishinger, both of Tucson, Ariz. Services will be at 11 a. m. Friday at the Hennessy funeral home, where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday. Burial will be in Crown Hill cemetery."
