Findagrave.com offers Mildred's obituary: "Mildred Dugan Murchison, 87, died at her daughter's home, Thursday, August 23, 2012, after a long illness. Born in Rockland, December 24, 1924, she was the daughter of Ernest H. and Lottie F. Demmons Grover. She attended Rockland schools. She began working at an early age in area seafood processing plants. In 1946 she married John O. Dugan. The couple made their home in Rockland where their five children were born. Mr. Dugan died March 27, 1960. In the early 1960s, she began working as a seamstress at Atlantic Sportswear in Rockland, where she worked several years as lead seamstress, supporting her family. In 1967, Mildred married Arthur Murchison of Lincoln. Mildred moved with her children to her husband's home in Lincoln, where they resided two years. Upon the closing of the Eastern Fine Paper Mill where Mr. Murchison worked, the Murchison family moved with their children to Montclair, California. Mr. Murchison died in 1981. Mildred remained in California, where she worked as a Property Manager, until moving back to Maine in 2000. She lived at the Knox Hotel Apartments in Thomaston, until moving to her daughter's home in March of this year. Her family and friends were Mildred's greatest joy. She loved going with them anywhere and anytime they went anywhere. She was a consummate shopper, but was ardently passionate at finding the best deal and never was shy to ask a merchant if that was the best price. For many years, she enjoyed making decorative pillows which she sold at swap meets and craft fairs. Mildred always took comfort and pleasure in caring for others, and when she worked as a property manger in California, often hosted what she called 'Happy Hours,' for less fortunate residents. Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cheryl Dugan and her companion David Higley of Appleton; four sons, John O. Dugan and his wife Melody of Warren, Ernie 'Bub' Dugan, Henry Dugan and his companion Marji Feldpausch all of Owls Head, Stephen Dugan and his wife Mary Kay of California; her sister Betty Goodwin and her husband William of Norwich, Connecticut; 10 grandchildren, Lisa Ann George, John O. Dugan, Jr., Jennifer Dugan, Angie Dugan, Lincoln Whitney and Carrin, Arthur Whitney, Melissa Maxwell and Matthew, Stephen Dugan, Sean Dugan, Jeremy Lee Taylor-Farley; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, Bentley Whitney.

In 2007 http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/POLAND.htm offers: "Wladislaw of Poland, son of Kazimierz I Prince of Kujavia, Leczyca and Sieradz [Piast] & his third wife Euphrosyne von Schlesien-Oppeln ([3 Mar 1260/19 Jan 1261]-Wawel Castle 2 Mar 1333, bur Krakow Cathedral). The 'Annales Polonorum' name (in order) 'Lestkonem Nigrum [et] Wladislaum qui Loketk cognominatus est' among the sons of 'Cazimirus'. He succeeded his father in 1267 as Wladislaw Prince of southern Kujavia, Brzesc and Dobrzyn. On the death without heirs in 1288 of his half-brother Leszek, Wladyslaw inherited Sieradz. He challenged the inheritance of Krakow by his distant cousin Heinrich IV 'Probus' Duke of Breslau and occupied the town, although he was expelled within a few months. He was captured in [1291] by Václav II [Wenzel] King of Bohemia and forced him to renounce any claims to the duchy of Krakow. He was recognised by the nobles of Greater Poland as the successor of Przemysl II King of Poland in 1296. He was forced into exile in early 1300 after King Václav occupied Greater Poland, Pomorze and Kujavia and was crowned King of Poland in Sep 1300. Prince Wladyslaw, supported by Hungarian troops, returned to Poland in Sep 1304 and captured Krakow in 1306. After the rebellion of Gdansk in 1308, and the Askanian invasion of Pomorze, Prince Wladyslaw enlisted the help of the Teutonic Knights who, after lifting the siege, occupied the town and by end 1311 had captured eastern Pomorze for themselves. In 1311, Krakow rebelled with the aim of restoring Bohemian rule, but by summer 1312 the rebellion was crushed. By 1314, Wladyslaw succeeded in expelling the sons of Heinrich I Duke of Glogau from Greater Poland, and by 1315 he styled himself 'Duke of all Greater Poland'. He applied to the Pope in 1316 for a royal crown, and after several years of negotiation he was crowned in Wawel Cathedral at Kraków 20 Jan 1320 as Wladislaw I 'Lokietek/the Short' King of Poland. In the continuing dispute with the Teutonic Order, the Pope found in favour of Poland over Pomorze in Mar 1320 but the Knights ignored the ruling. Jan King of Bohemia invaded Silesia in early 1327 and imposed Bohemian suzerainty on most of the Silesian dukes between 1327 and 1329. Gloria was born in Milbridge on June 16, 1939, the daughter of the late Daniel & Doris (Young) Smith. To say that Gloria was a hard worker is an understatement. She was faster than most and excelled at anything she did with her hands, including picking crabmeat (55 pounds in one day, with her helpmate), packing fish (faster than the speed of light) at Jasper Wyman and Sons, making wreaths at home and at Kelco Industries, where she made many friends, working there for 30 years. She just retired in March 23 and was one of the last of 'The Golden Girls' there. She instilled a strong work ethic in all her children, starting some of them off raking blueberries at 6 years old. She and Curt enjoyed family fishing trips with Carroll and Barbara Perry for many years and weekly visits with Lawrence and Irene Dow, who all predeceased her. Family feels comforted in believing theyre all reunited again. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, playing card games and board games of all kinds, camping at Schoodic Lake and working. Above all, she enjoyed her family.
