Mary was a lover of books and was a librarian at the Ellsworth Public Library for years after spending thirty years traveling the world as a military wife. Mary worked for a number of years as a telephone operator in Ellsworth. Above all, she valued being a mother and grandmother most. She is survived by her daughters, Beth Bland and husband Kevin of Ellsworth, Mary Jane Daly and husband Bill of Albert Lea, MN, Becky Lundberg and husband Kim of Austin, MN.; son, Peter Bedard and wife Susan of Ellsworth; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings and spouses, Ralph and Jackie Dunbar of Brewer, Harold Dunbar of Hancock, 'Cookie' and Jim Patten of Ellsworth, and Kathy and Wes Cook of York; and loved by many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, LCDR Albert Bedard and her brother Keith Dunbar."
