He married Shirley Alice Coombs on June 4, 1933, in Bucksport, Maine. They had one [known] child during their marriage. He died on July 6, 1999, in Topsham, Maine, at the age of 87, and was buried in Brooksville, Maine." "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine] , 8 July 1999," p. 16: "Topsham - Alfred E. Conners, 87, formerly of Bucksport, died Tuesday July 6, 1999 at Topsham after a long illness. Mr. Conners retired from St Regis Paper Co. where he was employee for more than 20 years in the paper testing laboratory. He was a member of Felicity Lodge of Masons and the Royal Arch Chapter of Bucksport. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he served an 18 month church mission to the Navajo in New Mexico. He was married to Shirley A. Coombs in 1933, and she died in 1962. Surviving are three daughters, Elizabeth and her husband James Gott of Bucksport, Nancy and her husband Rex Neilson of Leeds, Utah and Christine and her husband Rodney Gray of South Portland; a son, James, and his wife, Miriam Conners, of Topsham; sisters Anita Allison and Barbara Wilson of Bucksport; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren."

He was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Eaton, the son of William B. and Lorna (Neal) Gray. Dana was a graduate of Danforth High School. He served three years in the U.S. Air Force immediately after graduation. Upon discharge from the U.S. Air Force, Dana made his home in Springfield, Mass., where he owned and operated a service station for 30 years. He then returned home to Danforth where he owned and operated C.F. Moore Oil Co. until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Laura (Blaise) Gray of Danforth; three children, Kevin Gray of Stewart, Fla., Bruce Gray of Margate, Fla., and Jana Gray of Vero Beach, Fla.; the mother of his children, Winifred Hungerford; six siblings, Doris Rouch and her husband, Pete, of Orient, Keith Gray and his wife, Cynthia, of South Windsor, Conn., Ardis Fish and her husband, Fred, of Danforth, Colin Gray and his wife, Barbara, of Weston, Darlene Allen and her husband, Tyson, of Danforth and Waldo Gray and his wife, Terri, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; brother-in-law, Harry Kinney of Danforth; an aunt, Madeline Jarvis; an uncle, Alton Amero; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is free at last from the bonds of Parkinson's disease. Mary was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Elwood and Marion (Trainor) Patten. Mary, a lifelong resident of Ellsworth, graduated from Ellsworth High School, class of 1947. She married the love of her love, Glendon Preston Sprague, July 27, 1949. They recently celebrated 62 years of marriage together during which they raised three children. Mary worked at Hancock County Court House in two different offices. For many years she was a clerk in the Registry of Deeds and subsequently was elected registrar of deeds, where she served the citizens of Hancock County for several years. She finished her career at the Department of Civil Defense. Mary is survived by her loving husband, Glendon; children, Julie and her husband, Roger Grindle, Rick and his wife, Rochelle Sprague, and Janis and her husband, Tom Frost; grandchildren, Shayna Nickerson and husband, Michael, Joshua Frost and wife, Susan, Timothy Frost and wife, Amanda, Travis Frost and girlfriend, Lacie Dow, Aaron Sprague and wife, Jessica, Shawn Grindle and girlfriend, Josslyn DeCrosta, and Ashlee Robinson and husband, David; five delightful great-grandchildren, who brought her much joy and happiness, Elizabeth, Emma, Hannah, Noah and Ian Frost; her only sister, Laureen Leland and husband, Robert; brother-in-law, Lester Sprague and wife, Harriet; and sister-in-law, Lois Preble and husband, Jack. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, as well as her cousins here and on Prince Edward Island."
