Arthur's obituary from the the Harrisburg Patriot-News, 9 May 2008: "Arthur Clifton Deemer, age 71, of Swatara Township passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
Born on November 25, 1936 in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late Roy L. and Edith B. Deemer. Arthur served his country in the United States Air Force prior to attending and graduating from Penn State University in 1961 with a degree in Economics. Arthur settled in Harrisburg where he worked for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He retired in 2001 from the Bureau of Financial Management in the Office of the Budget after 33 years of service. An avid sports fan, Arthur enjoyed following Pittsburgh sport teams and attending Penn State football games during the fall. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Carrie Schilken, Harold Deemer, Fred Deemer and Margaret Page. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth, their three children, Teena, wife of Christopher Christman, Justin and Tiffany, wife of Scott Thompson; two grandchildren, Avery Arthur Deemer and Hunter Scott Thompson. Also surviving are three sisters, Nina Tulumello and Lena Siar of Arizona and Marie Parks of Brookville, Pa, many nieces and nephews and also other relatives."
