A lifelong resident of Portland. Mr Johnson was born Der 15, 1874, son of the late Daniel F. and Abigail Peabody Johnson, and attended local schools. He retired in 1946 after serving 50 years locomotive engineer for the Maine Central Railroad. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Engineers and attended the West End Gospel Tabernacle. Surviving are his widow Ella Coolbroth Johnson, two sons. Harold C. Johnson. Gorham, and Daniel F Johnson Portland, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

[33590] James' information is from the unverified Scrafield Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2012. "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 10 June 1913," p. 4: "James F. Trimble, aged 87 years, 4 months and 7 days, died Monday night at 10:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. F. Brook in Springfield township, one mile west of Ontario, death having been caused by dropsy. Mr. Trimble was born and reared in Springfield township. In 1847, he was united in marriage with Miss Lucinda Murphy, whose death occurred ten years ago. Nine children were born to them, of whom four survive, they being D. F. Trimble, of Calouse, Wash.; W. L. Trimble, of near Ontario; Dr. C. E. Trimble, of Crestline, and Mrs. W. F. Brook."
