Predeceased by her parents and husband, Maxwell Dorr; sister, Edna Simpson; brother, Merle Bowden; son, Roger M. Dorr; grandson, Randy Dorr; and son-in-law, Kenneth Preble. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and George Hamilton, and daughter, Sandra Preble. Also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. Jean attended Eastern Maine Conference Seminary in Bucksport. She got her GED and driver's license in her early 40's. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor and retired after 15 years. Jean was an avid reader who enjoyed a good game of Scrabble and completing daily crossword puzzles until her death. At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private committal service will be held at Hampden's Locus Grove Cemetery at a later date."
