Leach which occurred at his home in Ellsworth Monday after several years of ill health. Born in Penobscot Nov. 11, 1863, he went to Bar Harbor where he worked for the Bar Harbor Bank and Trust company. He was appointed superintendent of the Bar Harbor Power company and later was employed by the Bar Harbor and Union River Power and Light company until his retirement 30 years ago. Surviving are, his wife Mary E, a son, Luther A. Jr. of Bronxsville, N. Y.; a grandson, Lt. Robert C. Leach of the U. S. Air Force; a granddaughter, Mrs. George Wood of Staten Island, N. Y., and two great-gsandchildren. . . . "
