Longtime resident of Martinez, he was born in Maine. Alan moved to Martinez in 1963 and worked for Tefler Tank Lines as a machinist until he retired in 1993. He had many hobbies, including fishing, boating, and camping. He loved the outdoors. He could always be found in his backyard restoring all his antique cars and driving them in parades with friends and family. He was a member of the Martinez Historical Society, Northern Model T Club, and Antique Big Rig Truck Club (ATHS). His two greatest pleasures in life were working hard and his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 31 years Peggy; his son Travis Alan Hagerthy; three daughters Sherry (Robert) Abac of Maui, Sharon (Bill) Smothers of Yreka, and April (Ed) Trueblood of Port Orchard, WA; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also brother-in-law Joe Aiello and so many friends too numerous to mention. Mrs. Wabnitz began to grow worse last Saturday and Sunday, and a special nurse was called from, this city. Mrs. J. D. Fulliam, her daughter, was summoned to her mother's bedside and left yesterday morning. Mrs. Mary Wagner Wabnitz was born in Pennsylvania, and left there when a mere child and came with her parents to Grandview. She was united in marriage to Charles Wabnitz at the age of 18 and resided until about seven years ago on a farm near Letts. For the past seven years the family has resided at Washington. She was a member of the Methodist church for many years. Those who survive her are: Her mother, Mrs. C. P. Wagner, of Grandview; six children, Mrs. J. D.
