He died on 14 August 1921, in Rockland, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, at the age of 76." "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 31 January 2001, p. 17: "East Orland and North Port, Fla. - John F. Noonan, Sr., 81, died January 23, 2001, at a Port Charlotte, Fl. hospital. He was bom August 4, 1919 in New Britain, Ct. the son of John and Catherine (McAloon) Noonan. He and his wife have spent winters in Florda for seven years. He worked as a plant manager for L and I Atlantic, Bangor, retiring in 1982. He was a World War Veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. During the abortive Castilian campaign led by his half-brother the Earl of Cambridge in 1381, John led a contingent of English soldiers.[3] After his troops went unpaid, John led them in a mutiny; he may have been only a figurehead for the mutineers, though, as he (unlike the other conspirators) went unpunished afterwards."
