[16552] Thomas m. Elizabeth Freeman and was a freeman of Sudbury, MA in 1670. In 1703 he sold out and moved to Norwich. Find A Grave memorial 17802150 provides a list of his children and offers: "Note: No burial record has been found for Thomas, but he is likely buried in one of the ancient cemeteries of Norwich or Preston, CT. He and three siblings were all baptized together in Hingham, Mass. in 1646; he is assumed to be the oldest of the four, and therefore born about 1640. Thomas was the son of Stephen Gates and Ann Neave of Hingham, Mass. He was married in Sudbury, Mass. 7 July 1670 to Elizabeth Freeman, b. Sudbury 23 June 1648, apparently dead by 1723 when not mentioned in her husband's will. The family resided in Stow, Charlestown, Marlborough, and Sudbury, Mass. before moving to Preston, CT. In his will, dated 10 July 1723, with codicil 8 April 1724, Thomas called himself of Norwich, though his death was recorded in Preston. His land may have straddled both towns. The inventory of his estate totaled 535 pounds."
[30687] Ephraim m. (2) in 1655 in Weymouth, MA Ebbett Brimsmean (1633-1712) with whom he had William, Enoch and Joseph.

[41631] John and Alice had Alice Yohn Sanderson (1896 - 1960) amd John M Sanderson (1903 - 1972). "The Perry County Democrat [Bloomfield, PA], 5 February 1936," p. 3: "John M. Sanderson, Sr., well known resident of Centre township, died of general debility at his home near this borough Monday morning at 10 o'clock. He was 78 years old last November. Mr. Sanderson was a son of John and Sarah A. Sanderson, who lived on the Sanderson homestead near here. When he became a young man he entered the employ of the Norfolk and Western Railroad and was an engineer on that road for many years, during which time he resided with his family in Roanoke, Va. On his retirement from the railroad he came back to his old home here. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Alice Yohn, of Saxton, Pa., and two children, Johni M. Sanderson, Jr., of this place, and Miss Alice Sanderson, at home. One brother is also living, Elmer Sanderson, of Saxton. The deceased was a member of the Lutheran church and of the Masonic fraternity. He was a very kindhearted man, a friend of the friendless, and no one appealed to him for help in vain."
