[23099] Regarding her burial, Find A Grave Memorial 101360510 offers: "The conventual church of the Grey Friars at Bridgwater, Somerset, was rededicated in 1445, and sometime around then (perhaps in 1435 when a request to move some of his relatives was filed) the body of Elizabeth, wife of benefactor William Lord Botreaux, was exhumed from its resting place in St. Michael Church in North Cadbury, Somerset, and reinterred there. His heart was also buried at Grey Friars, while the rest of his remains were left at North Cadbury."

Roman historian Cassius Dio (ca.150-235) reports she had a heavy mane of bright red hair, a rough voice and huge frame, and put men to shame as the `Warrior Queen.' "Prasutagus, king of the Iceni, after a life of long and renowned prosperity, had made the emperor [of Rome] co-heir with his own two daughters. Prasutagus hoped by this submissiveness to preserve his kingdom and household from attack. But it turned out otherwise. Kingdom and household were plundered like prizes of war, the one by Roman officers, the other by Roman slaves. As a beginning, his widow Boudicca was flogged and her daughters raped. The Iceni chiefs were deprived of their hereditary estates as if the Romans had been given the whole country. The king's own relatives were treated as slaves."
