Closson. 71, died July 13 at a Blue Hill hospital after a long illness. He was born Oct. 15, 1899 at No. Sedgwick, the son of Rollo C. and Myrtle Kane Closson. He was employed as a custodian of the George Stevens Academy for 14 years. He was deacon of the Blue Hill Baptist Church, a past noble grand of Blue Hill IOOF lodge and a past district deputy grand master of district 97. He was a member of the Ira Berry Masonic Lodge of Blue Hill, a past steward of Hancock Pomona Grange and was chaplain of the Sedgwick Grange at the time of his death. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Florence Closson of Blue Hill; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Eaton of Brookline; five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ray Thurston of Sedgwick and Mrs. Linwood Leighton of Blue Hill; one uncle; several nephews and nieces. Services will be Friday at p.m. at the Blue Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Alger Gerry officiating. There will be an IOOF service at the church and a masonic service at the grave. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, No. Sedgwick."
